Press release

The Iberpapel Group has informed the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that yesterday, September 28, it signed the definitive agreement for the sale of the forestry assets in Uruguay on a total of 11,280 hectares.
Iberpapel reported €10.72 million of net profit in the first six months of 2023, year-on-year growth of 42.16%, despite the slowdown in demand in Europe and growth in imports from Asian countries, which prompted a reduction in paper sales.
Yesterday, the Company announced it had signed a deposit agreement for the sale of forest land - Los Eucaliptus S.A. (11,280.72 hectares) - representing approximately 40% of the Group’s total forest land area for USD55 million, a transaction which will have a very significant impact on its statement of profit or loss.
Iberpapel’s revenue increased by 54.04% year-on-year in the first half of 2022 to €163.93 million. That topline performance was enabled by the implementation of price adjustments in response to the prevailing market situation.
